Meadow House is tucked into sloping terrain, surrounded by open meadows and a wooded edge. The home responds to the changing grade, settling into the landscape while opening its gathering spaces toward the surrounding fields. Natural materials and simple forms give the house a warm, grounded character, with carefully placed glass connecting daily life to the meadow beyond.
Designed for a large family, the home brings people together while providing room to spend time apart. Generous shared spaces accommodate meals, conversation, and activity, balanced by smaller breakout areas for quieter moments. The arrangement allows different activities to unfold at once, giving family members places to retreat while remaining connected to the life of the house.
A sports court forms the nucleus of the project, placing play and gathering at the center of the home’s organization. Living spaces overlook the court, with viewing platforms extending outward to offer places to watch, socialize, and participate from the sidelines. These connections between the house, court, and landscape support a home where activity is part of everyday life and time together takes many forms.
